14/48: The World's Quickest Theater Festival

Well, it's another day and we're all ready to do it again. The plays have been drawn and the directors are meeting with their playwrights, the rest of us are guzzling coffee and eating breakfast munchies and looking forward to a day filled with discovery and invention. After dinner yesterday I was a bit tired (possibly not the only one) but the minute I walked into the back of the theater and felt the energy of that all-but-filled house, the excitement of all those people waiting to see whatever we had come up with, it felt like a brand new day. The performances all went off very well. Of course, I had my favorites but this is not a competition, except for the individual artists to do their best work. On to seven news plays and the second half of 14/48.
