14/48: The World's Quickest Theater Festival

Corey McDaniel meets with playwright Paul Mullin after Corey gets the script in a blind draw this morning. Paul is his typically effusive self, gesturing wildly in his private presentation of the ideas in his new script. Corey, as a virgin director, is ready to go.

Playwright Marcy Rodenborn is meeting with her director, Richard Ziman and they are intensely focused on the script and on shaping text into action. Both seem very comfortable and focused on what the script is trying to accomplish. "Is he really being given a hallucinogen?"  "Chew this, it will make you feel better."

A film crew is doing a documentary during this edition, and virgin writer Erik Van Beauzekom and his director Pamela Mijatov are doing a little talk for the camera between conference on the new show.

Actors will be drawn in about 15 minutes and the shows will be cast, ready to begin rehearsal.
