Veteran playwrights Scot Augustson and Paul Mullin plan to
go straight home after the meeting. “I mean we have to write something, right?”
Scot said. “He’ll probably write it on the way home,” Paul replied. I asked if
he liked to go with his first idea. “If I have one,” Paul said, “I mean, it’s
not going to be good anyway. And we’re not getting paid.” “We’re not getting
paid?” Scot said. “I thought we were going to be paid in virgins.”
