14/48: The World's Quickest Theater Festival

Rehearsal Drop-In #6  The Adventures of Henry

Bret Fetzer's two-hander, directed by Pattie Miles Van Beuzekom with Bob Christer and Julia Griffin. First, they read through the script. Lots of laughs and the occasional "Oh, fuck" followed by another laugh.

Bret wants the final lines of the final scene to be accurate (as written) and beyond that it's whatever.

"I've always wanted to be a mermaid and a superhero... and Godzilla"

"This show is pretty tech heavy, but we have a couple of stagehands who will be out skyscrapers."

"Even though he's kind of fantasizing about being a super-villain, he's really kind of a sweet kid."

Costumer comes in and gets lots of information very quickly. The tech people of 14/48 should never be under-appreciated.

Down to the stage to start working this very physical production.
