Less than half an hour till tech and the band doesn't seem to've budged in hours. They're drilling now on what must be our evening's theme song, chanting structural instructions, "verse, chorus, verse, chorus, chorus, chorus." It's full, consonant, and anthemic. Color me moved.
A solid run-through of the tune and they hurry on to the next, a haunting, smokey, harmony-driven nightclub number. Color me impressed.
