Theme draw and meet 'n' greet was tonight. The theme is "Revenge!" Should be fun... We had three photographers covering the festivities this evening. David Baum the 14/48 photographer for first weekend, Peggy Lycette from the Seattle Channel and Jennifer.... from Encore Magazine.
I really find it funny that folks attending Seattle Symphony and Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle Opera will read about 14/48: The World's Quickest Theater Festival, think "Hmm. Sounds interesting. Wow. What a lot of talented folks live in our area. I am so lucky to be a part of this scene." will never know that Matthew Richter, Mazen Award Winner for July 2008 stated his favorite director's quote from 14/48 was from Derek Horton warning a playwright "This play is like your girlfriend, and I'm warning you now because I'm about to fuck her up the ass. So leave the room."
And here's a video of one of the original 14/48 artists and Mazen Award Winner Charles Smith and virgin actor and well-respected choreographer Kathryn Van Meter coming out of the meet 'n' greet. And sorry for the lighting.
