The mess hall aka Bullitt Cabaret is emptying out and everyone seems to be fighting off the post lunch urge to nap. It's prime memorization time. Michael Jackson's "Bad" is thumping and the documentary camera crew is pulling participants aside for little break-out interviews. There is a significant push to export 14/48 to other urban theater hubs as far away as the UK. According to Mazen Anthony Winkler, the theater community in Seattle today is what it is primarily because of the 14/48 festival. "Wherever the seeds of risk-taking, collaboration and trust are sewn will likely prove to be furtile ground for the festival to grow."
