Band Practice

The band is in the Falls Theater. It's freezing in here! Annie Jantzer's nose is pink. Someone brought a doggie who seems perfectly content chilling out on the floor near the piano. Somewhere in the building I can hear Tracy Leigh laughing. Someone is playing with the light board and suddenly there's a disco ball shining down from above. Tonya Andrews and Amy Christer are taking advantage of the free stage time and are rehearsing Wayne Rawley's play #3 Piano, Bikes, Swimming and God with Pattie Miles Van Beauzekom. Amongst the band's strumming, improvisational harmonizing and note-taking there's a lot of dialog about kegels. No matter how many times the actresses on stage say the word "vagina," the band doesn't seem distracted. They're in the zone...
